Hey there,
Was wondering if you'd be able to help me with the following sentence in Scottish Gaelic. I'm wondering how you would say 'let’s just hope that they can understand you…'. Would be very helpful!
Regards,
Rob

I would't translate word for word, I'd say "I hope that they can understand you", which is:

Tha mi an dòchas gur urrainn dhaibh do thuigsinn (If you're talking about a close friend, child, brother etc)
Tha mi an dòchas gur urrainn dhaibh ur tuigsinn (when it's several persons or someone you don't know well)

I second what Lughaidh suggested (not surprisingly, since he knows more than I do anyway). The expression "Let's ..." in a context like "Let us hope" is an English (or Germanic) idiom which doesn't necessarily translate well into other languages, so the rewording which Lughaidh suggested is a good approach..
